Gardens  of  the  Downs

Only a decade old and never-before open to the public, this stunning acre of garden showcases a wide range of clipping and pruning techniques.  
Enjoy the beautifully presented hedges and feature plants, Japanese lanterns, and the cool embrace of a bamboo grove, and take in the view from the well-placed pagoda.  
Ponder life next to the raked dry garden bed or delight in the small waterfall and stream that flows to a scenic pond with water lilies in bloom.
The open garden and on-site coffee cart proudly support  
the Toowoomba Hospice. 
Please note there is a 120m walk up a moderate rise on a sealed road from the car park area to the garden. 
DIRECTIONS to LUCK RD:  
From Toowoomba, either head south from Drayton (turn left at the Vale View school), or follow the New England Highway from Ruthven Street, turning right about 2 km past the Hodgson Vale rest area (look for the large green highway crossroads sign).
